Players must be very concerned. In recent days, one of our sources has informed us that the California Lottery has taken a position that is anti-player. The people who spend their hard earned dollars on lottery draw and scratch off tickets are now UNABLE to find out where the winning tickets were sold.

What does this mean?

Changes to the lottery policy came into effect during the large website overhaul. A decision was made to pull winning retailer locations from their new website after the day of the draw. 

Lottery players LOSE because they cannot find out if the lotto ticket which they bought was sold at a location that sold a jackpot ticket.

Retailers LOSE because marketing the win becomes more difficult -- nobody knows that a winnign Fantasy 5, Daily Derby or SuperLotto Plus ticket was sold at their location.

 Oh well. There is nothing you can do even though you finance their operation and pay their salaries.
So much for the website overhaul. It's just smoke and mirrors.

An interesting note on the Fantasy 5 payouts. The California Lottery listed only three retailers having sold winning tickets, but there are 4 winning tickets which matched all numbers. The most likely explanation is that one of the three retailers sold 2 seperate tickets with the same numbers, or 1 ticket with two plays that were the same.

7-eleven hit a homerun for lottery players yesterday, have two of its franchise convenience stores sell jackpot tickets, albeit, very small payout value.
